ACTION: Alderman Orr called the meeting to order at
5:35 p.m.
Alderman
Orr made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to approve the minutes from
the October 25, 2006 meeting and have them placed on file. All yes.
Motion passed.
McIntyre
reviewed the lease agreement with the Committee. McIntyre recommended closing
the park in 16 months. Orr stated he was thinking 5 years but if that was the
recommendation then he would like to start on March 1, 2007 with the new lease
agreement and close the park on July 31, 2008. A letter will have to be drawn
up and attached to the agreement stating that the park will be closing on July
31, 2008 and signatures from trailer park owners will be required to state that
they have read the agreement and understand it.
There
is a clause in the lease agreement that states there needs to be on-site
maintenance. The City will ask the Park
District to serve as on-site maintenance and the Park in turn will call the
city building inspector if there are any issues. Orr asked that this gets into
the intergovernmental agreement. Orr
also requested that the Committee review the intergovernmental agreement before
it goes in front of the council for approval.
Puracchio will put a copy in everyone’s mailbox.
Theobald
asked about the owner occupied clause.
Orr stated that she would have to contact the park district for past
lease agreements to see if renters were indeed the owners.
Alderman
Gilmour made a motion and Alderman Combes seconded to submit for Council
approval the Trailer Park Lease Agreement as well as the closing date of the
Trailer Park to be July 31, 2008. All yes. Motion passed.
A
park resident, Lee Ann Lovekamp attended the meeting to ask what she needed to
do with a parking and dog problem she was having with a neighbor. The committee told her to contact the
police.
ACTION: Alderman
Orr made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to adjourn the meeting at 5:55 p.m.
All yes. Motion carried.
