ACTION: Alderman Orr called the meeting to order at 7:34
p.m.
Alderman
Orr made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to approve the minutes from
the past meeting and have them placed on file. All yes. Motion passed.
Orr
requested that Park upgrade electric on North Island-fuse boxes and add a fence
or metal structure around it- $10,000- $15,000 estimate. Committee asked that
McIntyre write a letter to Friddle explaining the City’s billing procedures so
things are not getting done without City approval.
Theobald
stated that ESDA requested $23,000 in building upgrades and repairs. Committee stated that maybe some things
could be delayed a year.
Puracchio
stated that the Council must address the issue of owning and maintaining the
buildings it currently owns; Old City Hall, Steeve Property, ESDA Building, and
City Center. The City is in dire need of a police department building and the
Council has some options to look at that might be fiscally advantageous in
meeting its needs.
McIntyre
brought up the need for another sign in the downtown area announcing the
Visitors Center. Committee advised
McIntyre to move the existing sign where it would be more visible rather than
purchase a second sign.
ACTION: Alderman
Gilmour made a motion and Alderman Orr seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:58 p.m.
All yes. Motion carried.
