DISCUSSION:            Approval of Minutes

 

ACTION:                   Alderman Hermes made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to open the meeting at 6:31 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.

 

                                    Alderman Johnston made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to Approve the minutes as written and place on file.  All yes. Motion passed.

 

DISCUSSION:            Approval of Financial Reports

 

ACTION:                   Theobald stated that the City was in good shape.  There were just a few accounts that were over.  The majority of the accounts are right at their 75% level.

 

DISCUSSION:            Downtown Façade Improvement Grant

 

ACTION:                   McIntyre went over the proposed ordinance. (See attached)  He stated he would like to see matching grants in the amount of $5,000. He would also like to see industrial buildings included.

 

DISCUSSION:            Miscellaneous

 

ACTION:                   Bowler Property – Bowler asked to pay only half of the attorney fees.  The Committee directed the attorney to refuse this option.

 

                                    Mills – Leak in basement due to water meter.  Because of extenuating circumstances the City will reimburse the Mills.

 

                                    Economic Development Plan – McIntyre asked that the Aldermen look over his proposed plan.  It will be discussed at the next Finance Committee meeting.

ACTION:                   Alderman Mietzner made a motion and Alderman Orr seconded to adjourn at 6:59 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.
