DISCUSSION:           2003 CDBG Pay Request

 

ACTION:                   Meeting was opened at 6:30 pm

 

(See attached). Second payment needs to be approved on the Kankakee River Drive Project.  Work is progressing well.

 

DISCUSSION:           Catfish Days

 

ACTION:                   Persic respectfully requested $3,000 for the laser show during the Festival. He stated has contributed to Catfish Days for many years and hopes the Committee can count on its continued support.  The Committee agreed and this will be approved at the next Council Meeting.

 

DISCUSSION:           NIPC

 

ACTION:                   The Committee agreed to pay the annual contribution of $781

 

DISCUSSION:           Donation Requests

 

ACTION:                   The Committee approved a $500 donation to the Will County Center for Community Concerns. The Committee rejected a request from the National Assoc. of Cities for membership.

 

DISCUSSION:           Financial Report

 

ACTION:                   The Committee approved the Collector’s Report and the Payables.

 

DISCUSSION:           Annexations

 

ACTION:                   See memo – Committee told Nelis to continue negotiations with Sportsmen Clubs. The Gas Station on Lorenzo and I-55 the Committee advised Nelis to go ahead with discussions on water and sewer issues.
