DISCUSSION:           Minutes

 

ACTION:                   Alderman Hermes made a motion and Alderman Mietzner seconded to Open the meeting at 6:33 p.m.  All yes. Motion passed.

 

                                    Alderman Hoppe made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to approve the minutes as written and have them placed on file. All yes. Motion passed.

 

DISCUSSION:           Approval of Financial Reports

 

ACTION:                   Hermes asked anyone if they had any comments on the financial report.  Theobald reviewed the financial reports and stated that she was working on the budget.

 

DISCUSSION:           Deer Ridge SSA issue

 

ACTION:                   Current numbers have been established for the project and the members would be voting on Saturday if they want to accept.

 

DISCUSSION:           Catfish Days Donation

 

ACTION:                   The city had budgeted $3,000, Orr would like to see a bigger donation next year. Theobald stated that Dow Chemical donated $2,000 but it came under the city name so she would issue payment to the Catfish Committee.

 

 

DISCUSSION:           Military Compensation

 

ACTION:                   Puracchio distributed some paperwork generated by IMRF and Theobald stating an estimated cost to participate in a military retirement benefit for the three existing employees that served in the military (did not serve during time of employment) Union President Pat Nugent asked the city to explore this option.  Based on the estimated numbers it would be too costly and benefit only three employees so the committee declined to establish this benefit.

ACTION:                   Alderman Gilmour made a motion and Alderman Hall seconded to adjourn at 7:02 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.
