                                    Alderman Mietzner made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to Open the meeting at 6:34 p.m.  All yes. Motion passed

 

DISCUSSION:           Minutes

 

ACTION:                   Alderman Gilmour made a motion and Alderman Combes seconded to approve the minutes as written and have them placed on file. All yes. Motion passed.

 

DISCUSSION:           Approval of Financial Reports

DISCUSSION:           Budget Summary

 

 

ACTION                     Alderman Mietzner asked anyone if they had any comments on the financial report.  Theobald explained several areas where dollars were adjusted.  1. Taxes were higher than estimates from IML.     2. Police salary moved from Regular hours to overtime hours.            3.  Water and Sewer were changed slightly due to posting error.  Garbage increase will be effective August 1, 2007 since the City is already being billed at the higher rate.

                                    Water/Sewer increase effective August, being billed in September. 

                                    Alderman Gilmour requested an article be submitted to the paper explaining the necessity of the increase and how our City compares to surrounding areas.        

                                    To help subsidize police overtime dollars, City Administer Puracchio explained requests for special events will be funded by the requesting party.  For example; Local 150 will be billed for the manpower used at their grand opening.  Alderman Mietzner suggested a dedicated line item in the budget for reimbursement dollars.

                                    Puracchio explained the budget will be approved at the Special Meeting scheduled for July 19, 2007 at 12:00 P.M.
