DISCUSSION:           Minutes         

 

ACTION:                   Alderman Brown made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to open discussions at 5:36 pm.  All yes.  Motion passed.

 

Alderman Brown made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to approve the minutes as presented and have them placed on file. All yes. Motion passed.

 

DISCUSSION:           Clarify Language in Garbage Ordinance

 

ACTION:                   Due to illegal dumping at the Island Parks and enforcement issues the Committee recommended to amend Section 94.08 by adding Section B) The intentional dumping of outside residential/commercial refuse shall be prohibited in or on city owned property or refuse containers.  Refuse accumulated while using the parks shall be exempt.

 

DISCUSSION:           Eagle Hotel

 

ACTION:                   The Committee directed Gary to stay on top of things.

 

 


DISCUSSION:           Mayor Pro Tem

 

ACTION:                   According to Section 31.05 of the City Ordinances: During a temporary absence or disability of the mayor, the city council shall elect one of its members to act as mayor pro tem, who during the absence or disability shall possess the powers of mayor as provided by statute.  Due to recent events the Committee will address this at the next Council meeting.

 

DISCUSSION:           Existing Home Elevations and Run-off 

 

ACTION:                   The Committee amended Section 157.10 under Spot Survey by adding D) All houses built in Wilmington shall not exceed 3 feet above curb to top of foundation.  If no curb exists – 3 feet 6 inches above street level.

ACTION:                   Alderman Gilmour made a motion and Alderman Kasalko seconded to adjourn the meeting at 6:20 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.
