DISCUSSION: Fire Department Reviews of
Construction Ordinance
ACTION: The Committee was asked to review this ordinance and had concerns over the fire department’s fees. The Committee would like from the fire department a list of things they will be inspecting and compare it with the list our building inspector is required to inspect. They would also like to know who reviews the building specs for the fire district. Also find out what other comparably sized communities do with their fire districts. The committee directed McIntyre to research these items and bring this information back to the next meeting.
DISCUSSION: Building Code Ordinances
ACTION: Puracchio stated that the City is developing procedures with Mahoney’s office on how to handle buildings that are in disrepair. This city then plans on aggressively pursuing buildings such as the incomplete Baptist Church site.
Orr requested
that all the changes that have been made be put into ordinance form
with the deletions stricken through so they can see the changes. Friddle
will ask Rick to verify some of the changes that were made at the last meeting.

stated that he has reviewed the Eagle Hotel prints and will be working with
owner Bill Scales to make sure everyone is on the same page.
DISCUSSION: Adjournment
