ACTION: Alderman Orr made a motion and Alderman Hoppe seconded to open the meeting at 6:31 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.
Alderman Hoppe made a motion and Alderman Orr seconded to approve the minutes with the addition of “when discussing the noise ordinance the Committee asked if the disturbing the peace ordinance would cover this” and have them placed on file. All yes. Motion passed.
ACTION: Orr asked Tate if there has been any progress on this. Tate stated that he was ask to provide them with the sign ordinance.
DISCUSSION: Subdivision Ordinance
ACTION: Revise 152.102 utility location, Tate stated that front location was not included, 157.08 creating sidewalk deposit, lot grading and tree inventory would be defined. Orr stated to bring these to a first reading to the Council meeting and instructed Puracchio to check with the attorney to see if these had to go before Planning & Zoning first.
DISCUSSION: Park
District Impact Fees Ordinance
ACTION: Orr stated that he wanted to present this to the Park Board first to get their opinion on it. Orr had concerns over land conveyance and cash contributions going to the City first and that doesn’t happen with the School District. Orr instructed Puracchio to look up the school ordinance and to get a copy of this ordinance to Park Director Friddle.

Insurance Ordinance
ACTION: The Committee thought it was a good idea to take advantage of the discount this year and realize that the first and second reading will be waived so the City can meet the deadline.

Coverage for Temporary Inspectors
ACTION: A temporary inspector asked if he was covered while he filled in for Tate. The Committee asked Puracchio to look into this and if it was an issue for Tate to relay to builders that while he off there will be no inspections.
DISCUSSION: Miscellaneous
ACTION: Firing Range – Mayor Strong wanted the Committee to look into this since the City has annexed or will be annexing property that have a firing range. The Committee would like the Mayor to address this at the next Committee meeting.
