Alderman Hoppe made a motion and Alderman Mietzner seconded to approve the minutes as written and have them placed on file. All yes. Motion passed.
DISCUSSION: Building Code Ordinances
ACTION: Friddle stated that the ordinance section 157 has too many conflicts. After discussions with the Mayor and City Planner it was advised to eliminate the ordinances and follow current BOCA codes and the City could add any necessary ordinances. Friddle explained that it has been difficult for everyone that is involved in the process and could cause the city liability issues.
Orr
stated he wanted to see the ordinances that were being struck out and a letter
from Tonelli. He asked that this
information be presented at the next meeting. Existing structures in the
downtown area was an item of concern since they would not be up to code. Friddle explained that this was covered in
the codes.
DISCUSSION: Stop Sign Ordinance
ACTION: Alderman Hermes requested that a stop sign be placed at Kahler and Buchanan to stop the speeding that is occurring on Kahler. He has been receiving complaints from residents.
The

he will discuss this with him.
