DISCUSSION: Antenna-Elwood
Agreement

stated that it would be a good idea if the City did the same so it is in the
works.
DISCUSSION: Overtime
Comparison
ACTION: Chief reported that the overtime report to date stands at $48,966. The
Chief believes that the reason overtime is low is he has taken Lt Evans out of
the rotation, the investigator does not work overtime, and the part-timers are
filling in. Chief pointed out that this
is the best year the Department has ever had with overtime and that it could
have been bad due to the resignation of two officers and the Fox case.
DISCUSSION: County
911
ACTION: The County continues to move forward to establish three 911 centers, one
in Frankfort, one in Joliet, and a new one in the northern part of Joliet. The Chief stated, by law, the County cannot
take our center away. The City does pay
taxes to the County and in return the County gives a minimum for back-up
systems, Dictaphones, etc.
DISCUSSION: Miscellaneous
Issues
ACTION: Nelis stated that ESDA did a great job at the Nuclear drill.
There
has been no action taken towards the Elderly Care issue.

been addressed. Sergeants have Nextel’s
and are now on a rotating basis in case there is an issue that requires their
attention.
The
Chief stated that according to the budget report as of January 31, if
everything goes smoothly, the Department should come in about $73,000 under
budget.
