DISCUSSION:           Minutes

 

ACTION:                   Alderman Hoppe made a motion and Alderman Johnston seconded to open discussions at 5:30 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.

 

                                    Alderman Hoppe made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to Approve the Minutes as written and have them placed on file.  All yes.  Motion passed.

                                   

DISCUSSION:           Radio Tower

 

ACTION:                   Evans has the speculations on the radio tower and he will work with Puracchio to have a bid package made up. Alderman Orr asked if this topic could be revisited when he arrived.  He stated he had concerns with the expense and necessity of the radio tower.  He felt the City should utilize the Fire Department’s Tower and wait until the internet provider’s contract had expired.  Hermes stated that for the past two years the Committee has thoroughly researched every option and this was the best option.

 

DISCUSSION:           Police Recruit Search           

 

ACTION:                   Plotts should have all the background checks done this week.  The search has been narrowed down to two recruits.  Evans stated that he won’t be able to have recommendations to the Committee until February.

                                   

 

 

 

DISCUSSION:           MAP negotiations

 

ACTION:                   The Union will be presenting meeting dates to the City as soon as they meet. The City’s negotiating team will consist of John McIntyre, Russ Gilmour, and Attorney Nick Sakellariou.

 

DISCUSSION:           Squad Car Agreement

 

ACTION:                   Evans stated that he will have more information to the Council shortly on this issue.

 

DISCUSSION:           Miscellaneous

 

ACTION:                   The Committee asked Evans to get a light fixture for the back parking area and two security cameras due to vandalism.

ACTION:                   Alderman Johnston made a motion and Alderman Hoppe seconded to adjourn at 5:45 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.
