The meeting was called to order with a pledge to the flag.
The clerk called the roll finding the following Aldermen present: Gilmour, Hermes, Johnston, Mietzner, Orr and Hoppe.
Absent: Plese
Alderman Hoppe made a motion and Alderman Mietzner seconded to Accept the Minutes of the June 7, 2005 meeting as written and have them placed on file. Orr passed. All others yes. Motion passed.
Mayor’s Report: Mayor Strong introduced and distributed Certificates of Achievement to the 2005 IHSA Class A State Baseball Champions. Players: Chad Wright, Vince Vercelli, Nick Dziuban, Mike Spell, Jon Folgers, Dillon Roark, Jon Mitchell, Ryan Gurnitz, Seth Jansen, Dave tafoya, Ben Stickel, Nick Hansen, Kyle Davis, Eric Dillon, Scott Puracchio, Tanner Roark, Rob Murphy, Tony Vercelli, Adam Kruchten, Chris Alberico and Stats Girl Rachel Francis. Coaches: Head Coach - Kevin Feeney Assistant Coaches - Lodi Vercelli, Steve Nelson, Russ Allred, Chad Farrell, Casey Drown, Les Russell and Stats Jeff Dillon.
The Team was honored for winning First Place in 2005 and 2003 and Third Place in 2004.
Alderman Hoppe made a motion and Alderman Orr seconded to Approve the Request for a Tag Day on Saturday, August 13, for the Fire District’s “Fill the Boot” for Muscular Dystrophy. All yes. Motion passed

Committee: Alderman Gilmour
commented that tap-ons were now taking place on the Kankakee River Drive
project.
Alderman Johnston
read the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 05-07-05-09, an Ordinance
authorizing the City to borrow from the State Water Pollution Control Loan
Program.
Next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, June 22 at 5:30 pm
Police and ESDA Committee: Alderman Gilmour made a motion and Alderman Orr seconded to Accept the Bid from Grosshening, Inc from New Lenox for Demolition of 115 Jackson Building not to Exceed $13,000. All yes. Motion passed.
Alderman Gilmour
made a motion and Alderman Johnston seconded to Hire Phillip Michael Tyree
as a Wilmington Part-Time Police Officer, at $15.00 per hour, pending a
successful physical and drug test. Orr
no, all other yes. Motion passed.

Finance/Administration/Land Acquisition Committee: Alderman Hermes made a motion and Alderman Johnston
seconded To Approve the May Collector’s Report in the Amount of $197,210.54
and the May Payables in the Amount of $212,860.32 All yes. Motion passed.
Alderman Hermes made
a motion and Alderman Mietzner seconded to Approve the Payment of $74,043.25
to Broadway Construction Services as Third Payment for the 2003 CDBG Kankakee
River Drive Water Main Project. All
yes. Motion passed.
Alderman Hermes made
a motion and Alderman Hoppe seconded to Approve Ordinance #05-06-21-08, an Appropriations
Ordinance Providing for Supplemental Appropriations and Transfers, Subject to
Review and Modification by the City Auditor.
All yes. Motion passed.
Alderman Hermes made
a motion and Alderman Hoppe seconded to Donate $500 towards the Will County
Center for Community Development Concerns. All yes. Motion passed.

City Administrator’s Report: Rob Nelis
stated the Keslin Engineering has waived their fees on the American
ContainerNet project due to the Company’s financial difficulties and inabilty
to locate here.
Nelis asked if
anyone was interested in the Will County Governmental League Golf Outing on
August 2. Please let Executive
Secretary Puracchio know if they would like to participate.
