DISCUSSION:           Minutes

 

ACTION:                   Alderman Gilmour made a motion and Alderman Combes seconded to Open the meeting at 5:30 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.

 

                                    Alderman Hermes made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to Approve the minutes from the April 11 meeting and have them placed on file.  All yes. Motion passed.

 

DISCUSSION:           Hydrant Replacement

 

ACTION:                   Van Duyne stated that the hydrant replacement was going well.

 

DISCUSSION:           Sludge

                                                           

ACTION:                   Jeffries had provided three quotes for hailing the sludge with his recommendation to use Fatlan Trucking. The committee questioned if he had asked the two other companies about a per load bid, instead of an hourly bid. This will be brought back to next committee meeting.

 

DISCUSSION:           Water to Old City Hall

                                                           

ACTION:                   Van Duyne stated there is now running water at old city hall.

 

DISCUSSION:           MFT Streets/Alleys

                                                           

ACTION:                   Strand engineer Marc Grigas will provide a bid packet for the streets.

 

DISCUSSION:           Miscelleaneous

                                                           

ACTION:                   500 fire hydrants will have to be painted this year

                                    Joliet Street & Ridge speeding issue – a resident had called in to express concern over the speeding cars driving down Joliet Street from Ridge to Kahler and asked that the city address this.

                                    Water to Riley’s Garden – Van Duyne stated that when his crew has the time they will address this.
