DISCUSSION: Water Tower
ACTION: Jeffries received a bid for
$25,500 and the Company will be able to do it after the first of the year. The City will be responsible for taking down
the high wires and siren. Tower can
come down in a day.
Chief
should have an estimate by the end of next week on the microwave communication
system. Should run about $30,000.00
Alderman
Brown and Melhorn will speak with Fire Department to see about the availability
of the tower. Alderman Gilmour will keep communicating with Joyce Sullivan, the
owner’s of the building the City wants to purchase.
Chief
stated that Clennon Electric came out to assist on the placing of the electric
lines once the Police Department building plans progress.
ACTION: Alderman Hermes made a motion and Alderman Gilmour seconded to adjourn the meeting at 6:12 p.m. All yes. Motion passed.
