BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR:
C James Reeves, President of the Wilmington Rotary Club, was selected Business Person of the Year for 2007 by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Jim, director of Reeves Funeral Home, is the fourth Rotarian to be selected, an honor well deserved.

Previous members selected were Bill Dennis, '99; Mike Cripe, '00; Steve Francis, '01
In the tradition of Rotary all the recipients are very involved in community activities.

Events:


Wilmington Community Band Concert
Wilmington Rotary is sponsoring several summer band concerts. the WILMINGTON COMMUNITY BAND will perform on the lawn in the town park located one block west of South Water Street at the corner of Vine and William Streets.

Each concert will be free and hosted by a local organization. Ice water and treats will be available.

Families are invited to bring a picnic lunch. Enjoy the music while the kids have fun on the playground equipment.

All concerts will be held at 6 P.M., except, July 26th. That concert will be at 2:30 followed by the National Champion AMERICAN LEGION BAND at 4:00.

Dinner Theatre
The 6th Annual Dinner/Theatre will be Saturday, December 5, 2009. The production....."Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"

The musical will follow a dinner catered by Rotarians in formal attire.

Be sure to make your reservations early since seating at the new Wilmington High School is limited and sell out will be before the performance. Corporate rates are available for tables of 8.

Wilmington Rotary Cruise - Charity Car, Motorcycle, and Truck Show, 2009
June 20, 2009 (rain date 06/27/09) and August 15, 2009 (rain date 08/22/09).
North Water Street in downtown Wilmington, Illinois on Historic Rte 66 (where route 102 meets route 53).
The event will begin at 6:00pm. Trophies, awards and Raffles given through out the evening. Gates open at 5pm.
Showing Vehicles will pay $10 at the gate. Walking public is free.
T-shirts to 1st 50 vehicles, Dash Plaques to 1st 100 and Goodie Bags to the 1st 200.
Split the Pot.
Door prizes.
