Water, Sewer and Garbage Billing - When you move to town, whether you are renting or buying a home, you should have the water bill switched into your name. ** If you are closing on a home or moving from one place to another within the City we request that you schedule a Final Read approximately 5 days before the scheduled move or closing date.  This gives us time to obtain a read and process the last bill for that account.**

    You Should Know:

Waste Management - Garbage and recycling service is provided in Braidwood by Waste Management. Cans should be out to the road late Sunday evening for Monday pick up.  Garbage is every week and Recycling every other. See our Events page for exact datesRecycling is not required but is encouraged. If you are missing a can, if your garbage is not picked up or if you have any questions, you can call City Hall at (815) 458-2333 or Waste Management at (800) 747-2278. The Braidwood Beat, our weekly YouTube segment also did a video detailing garbage pickup and recycling information.

Burning Hours - Leaves and yard waste may only be burned from the hours of 7-11am and 3-7pm.

Get Involved:  Braidwood is filled with Organizations that would love your help.  If there is a cause you are passionate about, we have a group for you. If no group exists, we will help you find the people and the facility to get it started.

Get Active: Another great way to meet people is to get out and about.  Take advantage of Braidwood's many Recreational activities.
